Everything is perfect I’d say except for the mustache. The mustache is horrible. The rest is awesome and I want that jacket. The diversity of color is great.

  • John

I agree with EoR. Now if he grew the stache out a bit, red baron style it would be better. Rest of the outfit is excellent, natch

  • Aggy

Agree with the two comments above – also the jewel charm thing dangling out of the pocket just seems a bit pointless and try hard to me. Doesn’t particularly add anything, and if anything seems to take away from what is otherwise quite a ‘powerful’ look. (But not in a good ‘make me look less serious’ way, just in a ‘doesn’t look very good’ way!)

    • Good catch on the jewel charm. I hadn’t noticed that. The thing that really makes this photo for me are the blazer buttons.

  • Johnny Caustic

Excellent. The green of the jacket is what really makes it sing. It it were all browns, it would be okay, but not nearly as good as with the green.

  • Brian

This might be splitting hairs, but the vest seems too bulky to fit under the jacket.

Also, is the shirt light blue or white? I think white would be better than blue (cold), but the fact that I can’t really tell means it obviously isn’t that big of a deal.

  • Michael

Agree with the above. Who puts gloves in the breast pocket? Are this jewel charms prayer beads?

  • Peregrine John

Not to repeat what others have said, but to repeat what others have said: I’d never put my gloves there, and I’m not sure what the right pants pocket thingy is about, but I’d love to have this combo. The stache matches the flipped collar, in my opinion: rakish, silly, not something I’d do, and maybe explains the pocket jewelry. But hey, whatever works for you. If I looked like Brad Pitt’s little brother, I’d get away with stuff like that too. It’s also a matter of personal taste, but I like my vests a bit closer-fitting as well.

    • I like the “rakish” definition too. His is a very aristocratic shape of mustache so it work with the rest of the outfit.

I am, however, a bit surprised by all the negative reactions to the gloves. I keep mine in my breast pocket if I’m in a situation that doesn’t require I take off my coat but my hands need full dexterity. Keeping them there makes them easier to keep an eye on and access and the leather adds some texture to my chest.

      • Peregrine John

I don’t hate the look, necessarily, it’s just that I’d never put them there. Or my cell phone either, and for the same reason: danged uncomfortable. Plus, if I am going to press a feminine form against me – which happens frequently enough to plan for – I much prefer to minimize interference with the sensation. Tucked into the lower pocket(s), they stay out of my way but at hand (so to speak) for usage and easily as safe from being lost. Each to their own methods, I suppose.

  • Brian

Yeah I don’t hate the mustache – seems to work with the flare he has going on with the hairstyle and the jewelry.

“Rakish” struck a chord, I think that is a good word to summarize those elements of his look.

  • DB

Great look. I want the jacket as well.

  • Liam

I like his moustache, the baubles, and the gloved in the breast pocket. The moustache is understated and classy, the baubles are a personal flair, and gloves in a breast pocket isn’t remotely uncommon, plus they look great!
