I mostly like it, but I don’t like the belt on the jacket. I don’t know why.

Agreed. Has that look with the high belt not been adopted by women’s fashion?

Otherwise, this look mimics a military uniform in a casual way, which is a win.

Good observation about the belt having a military history and also being co-opted by women’s fashion. The reason it’s included in a jacket like this is that it’s designed to look like on old Barbour or Belstaff military or motorcycle jacket.

For me, knowing the history of the belt actually makes it look better and completes the whole vibe of the jacket.

Since the belt offers basically no contrast, I think it’s fine. When you see it on a woman, it’s made to stand out and I’m guessing make her waste look smaller. On this guy, it’s just part of the jacket and gives it a fitted look. The more I look at it, the more I like it. Source of this jacket?

P.S. I really like the red on the shoes. It completes the military look and keeps the contrast away from his head. As a bald man with basically no contrast in my complexion, I think this would be a great look on me and will try and source it.

Brick-soled suede shoes typically aren’t that hard to find. Most traditional shoe companies like Bass and Florsheim will carry them.
