Wish he’d trim the beard. It’s scraggly and unkempt…not very congruent with his suit.
I like the beard, needs to tuck in his shirt and get it ironed. Fit of the jacket is is superb.
At first glance I’m always going to assume you’re a waiter if you’re wearing a black shirt.
Outfit fine, beard terrible.
He looks like a losing Civil War general with that beard. The suit looks like something out of North Korea or Maoist China–a bit of variation, please!
Untuck, unironed shirt matches his beard. The look works for him.
He needs to tuck the shirt or lose the jacket. Either way would make the beard work, though I’m not much on that particular shape.
In other news, gentlemen, allow me to point out an article over at Art of Manliness which gives a pretty good overview of topcoats.
I don’t mind “untucked” if the length is right. I have a few shirts hemmed short so they aren’t too long when not tucked.
Does anyone think the jacket sleeves are a little short?
His left jacket sleeve does indeed look short and his left shoulder pad looks too wide. But the right sleeve and right shoulder pad look fine, so who knows.
This look as a whole is off-putting to me. I get that he’s going for a gth dressed up bad boy vibe, but it veers towards the comical and comes off a little try hard.
I could get down with this look more if I knew it was his signature uniform, i.e., something he wore almost every day. Somehow that would redeem it for me. But as a one off thing I don’t care for it.
