There is nothing technically wrong, the fit is good, but it just feels like a yawn. The hat seems try hard maybe? I dunno, i should like it but i don’t and i don’t know why.
It works.
I think it’s his posing that’s throwing me off. His hands in his pockets just look too artificial and not natural.
Two jackets is dumb. Does he take both off when he gets where he’s going? I hope so, because sitting around inside with that vest on would be silly.
Don’t get creative. Just wear a normal topcoat if you’re cold.
On the contrary, I think the puffer vest is a cool and stylish way (when done right) to layer up during the colder months…especially if you don’t have a closet full of tweed/wool. I think GQ recently ran a section where they had one of their guys wearing 3 different puffer vests under blazers. It’s a solid look. Being creative can let you stand out a little more…especially when everyone else is wearing black and gray topcoats.
The coloring of the hat seems odd to me…and his jeans are too light for my taste. I really do like the layering though.
Agreed Samuel. I like the layering as well. And I think you’re right with the hat – possibly a shade or two too light in my opinion. (Not that I’m a fan of wearing hats anyway.)
But I quite like the rest of the outfit; a shame we can’t see his shoes as often the footwear can make or break the whole outfit – and it’s the bit that I normally find hardest to match to the rest of the outfit as my shoe collection is fairly small at the moment!
